Meet the Team: Engineering Culture at NeuralFlow

How small pods, written RFCs, and 40+ daily deployments shape NeuralFlow's engineering culture.

Meet the Team: Engineering Culture at NeuralFlow

Building great developer tools requires a great engineering culture. At NeuralFlow, we've been intentional about creating an environment where engineers can do their best work. Here's what makes our team different.

How We Work

Small Teams, Big Ownership

We organize into pods of 3-4 engineers, each owning a complete product area end-to-end. There are no handoffs between frontend and backend teams — every engineer ships full-stack features from design to production.

Write It Down

Every significant decision starts with a written RFC (Request for Comments). This ensures decisions are thoughtful, inclusive of async team members, and documented for future reference. Our RFC archive is one of our most valuable internal resources.

Ship Fast, Learn Faster

We deploy to production 40+ times per day. Feature flags let us ship code to production before it's customer-ready, gather real performance data, and iterate quickly. If something breaks, we roll back in under 60 seconds.

What We Look For

  • Curiosity — We want people who ask "why" and "what if" more than "how"
  • Writing ability — Clear writing reflects clear thinking
  • Pragmatism — Perfect is the enemy of shipped
  • Empathy — Every line of code we write is used by another developer
